Today is my baby girls birthday, she turns 25, her name is Lauren and she is my Pride and Joy, the best thing I ever made, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of my beautiful wife, turns out making kids is not so hard when you have a beautiful wife, and my wife turned out to also be the best mom in the world. I am lucky. Here is a funny little story:

Hands down one of the best things I ever did was have a daughter, I was scared to death, but my wife was brave, and it turned out to be one of the best things we ever did. My baby Lauren was born in 8-88 in LA, we lived a block from the boardwalk in Venice Beach. When Lauren was just a few months old I picked her up one morning and was holding her close when I heard a strange noise coming from one of the heavily barred and fortified crack head proof windows in our basement apartment?

While still holding Lauren I went and popped up the blind and it was a bum outside on the sidewalk peeing on my window, peeing ON my window, like it was a urinal? It was a basement apartment so the sidewalk was eye level at my window, I flinched like when a bird hits your windshield and you think it’s going to hit you in the face, it was disgusting, I pounded on the window and my last memory is this big ugly penis, peeing, bouncing, and running away, while still peeing. I held my new sweet innocent little baby girl tight in my arms and covered her newly opened eyes lol.

My wife and I decided to move out of Venice Beach that day. We moved back to the relative safety of Palm Springs, down the street from my parents. I got a job as a finance manager at Kemp Nissan and we stayed in Palm Springs until august when we were reminded of the brutal heat and decided to move again. We ended up in New Orleans, WTF and LOL, who would move to New Orleans to escape the heat and the homeless right? Anyway we didn‘t stay in New Orleans long but is was fun for a while, and my baby will always have those cherished “Bourbon Street in a stroller” memories, lol…
