Domain Picks Dropping on Christmas 2013

I was really interested to see what happened with two .TV domains that should have dropped recently, they were 13.tv and GM.tv, 2 character .TV domains are sweet so I was all over these, they were both “Premium” domains meaning they cost a premium for the first year and cannot be transferred out of the registrar where they get registered, it’s a crazy Verisign .TV policy. 13.tv was priced at about $400 for the first year and GM.tv at only about $80.

One might wonder why somebody would let these names expire, with 13.tv it could have been because it was costly for the last owner, they were what .TV called “Legacy” domains and Legacy domains had premium annual fees, not just a first year premium and then regular renewal fees like now, they cost a premium every year, 13.tv was possibly in the 4 figures a year, I am not sure but probably, GM.tv was only $100 per year and was owned by ITV but they went under, they broadcast their final GMTV show in September 2010.

Anyway the domains should have dropped but they didn’t, as of now they are both still showing pending delete. I contacted Verisign to see what was going on and was told the registry was putting these names on reserve for their own use? This is not a new policy to keep all two character .TV’s that expire like they did with one character .TV a few years back.

4Beatles.com – John, Paul, George, and Ringo. probably OK if you made a fan site
888888888888888888888888.com – Twenty four eights, how lucky can you get?
BigLuck.com – If you miss out on the lucky twenty four 8’s you can try your luck on this one
BikeParkingRack.com – A little awkward sounding but it’s a product with paying ads
BrainBase.com – Sounds like it would be something smart
Cheat-Sheets.com – I never cheat, except at solitaire
ChiliDog.com – I want it, I love chili dogs, would go good with my ChiliBurger.com and fries
ConstructionSource.com – Find construction companies and contractors in your area
Disma.com – 5L pronounceable, looks like a band also
EuroLender.com – Seems like a pretty good name to me, loan me some Euro’s
FamilyLifestyle.com – It’s nice to have family, especially on the Holidays
GanodermaKave.com – Mushroom coffee or something? Other extensions and dash being used
GoDaddies.com – Obviously this would be a great name for a domain registrar, just kidding
GoEthiopia.com – Go plus a geo seems pretty good
GoRomania.com – Even better probably
InfusionNurse.com – Common term in nursing, they give the shots
InternetPokerPlay.com – It’s a gambling name so I list it, not the best though
Ixner.com – 5L and I can say it?
Jiula.com – 5L and I think I can say it, lots of bidders at NJ
MetalCuttingMachines.com – An expensive machine I am sure
ProfessionalSEOExpert.com – Long but lots of ads for the term, but you can get #1 w/o ads
Radio-Station.com – Lots of searches for this one
SolarPanelSite.com – Site is not my favorite suffix but I do love solar panels
StockPickz.com – I have sold some 1 wordz, no two wordz, huge term though stock picks
TraderAnalysis.com – Seems like a big subject that could use some analyzing
TryPHP.com – I keep seeing more and more TryThis.com and TryThat.com website ads on TV
WestCoasted.com – Not so sure about the ed but I love the West Coast, I grew up in So Cal
WordLookup.com – I look up words every day
