That is a nice sale for somebody. -But, such sales always happen, didn’t Flower.mobi sell for close to $200,000? And I’m sure caused many to jump in.

Wouldn’t that be the auction on the register day, that probably closed at that price, 2 people who really wanted it?

      • Could’ve been.

But there’s no denying that we’ve seen the phenomenon of skewed sales shortly after release of hyped TLDs before. I believe even with more pizzazz, such as .mobi and others. We imagined every cellphone was going to use .mobi for example.

But granted, the sale above is not bad.

        • Mike says:

Godaddy takes multiple backorders, and all parties get entered into an auction if they grab it, that is why you see the same venue selling all those domains, they were just late reporting, as the auctions go a few days, then it takes a few more to settle the sales. Most likely end users, who were in on those, with domainers in the mix as well.

I wondered that also Mike, if everybody that paid a high premium was listed there would be more, some went for $12k.

    Geez…

Ray Hackney just reported that BirthdayFlowers.com sells for $2,616 on NameJet.

    Great Buy.

How the heck did I miss that auction!?

    • Mark says:

It was a pre-release so it won’t show up on my pending deletes lists, one of these days I might start listing good pre-release domains that are missed by some of the other daily picks posts that do list pre-release…

  5. Tony says:

You gotta do it. It seems like these domains are slipping through the cracks and not covered by any blogs.

I blame you for this catastrophe, Mark!

    :)

Mark, do you see value in 3 letter acronym .ME domains? and to take the question further do you see value in any 3 letter acronym dot any extension besides dot com. Thanks for your time

    • Mark says:

I have sold quite a few LLL .me and receive lowball offers on many of them, obviously it depends on the acro, it was easier to sell LLL words like pig.me, mig.me, sea.me, ear.me, acro’s with bigger meaning like CGI.me, OTC.me, GMO.me, MRE.me, XTC.me, get inquiries, words like cow.me, jah.me, mud.me, nut.me, ska.me, tot.me, wig.me also get lots of inquiries.

I am not sure every LLL is worth money, actually I would say probably not, and in all these new extensions I would be even more careful, outside of .com, .net, and .org I would say be careful with random acro’s, I did get DNA.Today though recently, that is an LLL.

Here s a list of most of the LLL .me I have sold:

      ISO.me
      IFC.me
      SBI.me
      RPG.me
      Lex.me
      Vou.me
      PSI.me
      Hoo.me
      MAZ.me
      ITA.me
      PAC.me
      Bev.me
      RAR.me
      CCC.me
      AVS.me
      Wix.me
      WOM.me
      Pig.me
      Ear.me
      Sea.me
      IFS.me
      Fet.me
      Pow.me
      SWG.me
      DMC.me
      MBS.me
      DBA.me
      Rex.me
      Dom.me
      Mig.me
