A few things, first I got an email from a guy today that congratulated me on picking up Global.Tips, it was long after the final price drop yesterday and I was just going through some big words one last time and I saw this name still available for $19 so I figure WTF I like it, I’ll get it. He said he had checked a few days before and saw the name was $3k and he couldn’t afford it and he just wanted to tell me congrats on picking it up, he said it was worth the $3k I paid and he wished he had the money.
Maybe my honesty cost me a sale but I told him that I picked it up yesterday for $19 and explained to him the Donuts Dutch auction style pricing thing, that it was about $12k, then $3k, then $1k, etc., until the 8th day when it was $19. He had no idea about any of this and he thanked me and said he found another name for cheap that would be good for him, so not everybody understands this Donuts pricing thing obviously, and like he said he found another alternative name for cheap that was good for him so I have to ask myself, will anybody ever run out of options now and want my Global.Tips for the millions I will be asking, lol.
The second thing is I got an email from somebody asking me how I find the best words in an extension besides just what I know from my vast experience and knowledge lol, that motivated me to put an ad up for Wordtracker, that is what I have been using for years, you can get a free trial and search the top 50 keywords or pay a bit like I do and search the top 1000. So I put in a word like TIPS and see the most common searches that include this word, like Weightloss Tips and Travel Tips and Beauty Tips etc, it has always been a great tool for me.
Incidentally, I sold TravelTips.com years back, picked up for a reg fee when it expired, I know how to pick ’em, my problem has always been I price ’em too low, but not anymore, Global.Tips is $1,000,000, or best offer over $1000 lol.

Domain of the day: Future.Tips – Make me an Offer!
Thanks for stopping by…
I hesitated for a moment and it looks like you punched the button right before I did….X.Tips
Yea I actually had x.tips and u.tips in cart and u got taken? It was available for days. I am a sucker for single letter domains.
It’s yours for $3k, $5k with X.Directory lol…
I hate to be you at renewal time next February, I feel like we are still a few years out from an end user aftermarket.
You can’t be someone else, trolls are self-centered and incapable of improvement. You’d need a DNA transfusion for that.
Hate to admit…I totally agree with DShane on his take on the new GTLDs.
It is a total scam.
They promised good solid domains can be reg but we were all fool to believe so They are keeping the good ones and letting us have the pigeon shits.
Tell me, WTF point!!!
I thought this is the land of opportunity and law of the land- equal opportunity.
To me it is a damn freaking bait and s*hit scam, unfair business practice and all the owners of the registrars should be put in jail. Let them rot and get sodomized in the cell.
If we cannot reg the good domains on the first come basis, then your dot whatever will fail!!
That why I love dot com—easy to reg and no hold bar!!
F your dot whatever!!
Any investment that comes with a diversified plan is a healthy one. The gTLDs provide plenty of opportunities to invest in key domain assets, per one’s plan. Those that don’t have a plan will be disappointed. Those that choose not to get involved, can watch us; maybe they will learn something.
It is a crapshoot for the most part. 600+ extensions, most premium combo’s selling for $1000 or $3000, tons of premium combos being reserved (which will know they will adapt the .XXX strategy and be held for five or six figures), and supply far exceeds demand.
If we take away the domains that domainers bought how much end user awareness or adaption is there? How much end user awareness is there about .info and it’s been over 10 years? Look how surprising it has been to people that Flippa has been moving .info’s pretty well in the past 6-8 months at prices around $5-20k. I think .info makes more sense overall than .guru or .tips any day of the week.
Maybe in 10 years you can have domains that hold some value, but they’ll never be .com values. And instead of dropping four or five or six figures on the gtlds today there are much better investment opportunities out there where your cash won’t be tied up in something that is probably not liquid.
1 year from now I can only imagine the quantity we’ll see on Namejet when people realize these are in no way quick flips and at $25-75 per renewal they will add up fast.
“Those that choose not to get involved, can watch us; maybe they will learn something.”
As far as I see, what people is learning here, for the time being, is about pump-and-dump, lack of transparency, a lot of marketing and propaganda …
Investing and diversification are fair until all people have equal opportunities to access a specific asset, otherwise is just the happy few (and their yes-men & friends)”screwing” those who are not “privileged” …
So it’s not only a question of having or not a plan (too simplistic indeed …), it’s a question of giving people the same chances to participate to this venture.
People is sick and tired of opaque or rigged games.
No offense, but calling “trolls” all people who disagree with you is just ridiculous.
Hi Mark,
Radiated = Radiant ?
P.S. Radiant.org sold for $23,000 (not mine)

Thanks
Mark,
how do you find expired domains FMA?
you can search the auction houses, like godaddy. or use expireddomains.net which is probably one of the easier tools to use.
was thinking about picking up intestine.org when I saw it drop, wtf would I do with it though lol.
I love how the new gTLD’s are “supposed” to be the internet communities answer to more brandable and specific domains to their niche, but ask anyone outside of the domaining community and they will have zero idea what you are talking about.
It’s going to years upon years before these are picked up by the general audience, and while they are not the entire end user, they are the majority. People are still going to buy the .com,.org, and .net because it’s what “they” are familiar with. It won’t be until a potential buyer runs across a site like this, and realizes there’s a bazillion more extensions available to register. When that happens is anyone’s best guess.
I agree with this..

Valuate.com appraisal showing that Intestine.org is ‘worth’ $5,600, freq – 21,600,000, searches – 27,528 but I didn’t take it. Who is end user ? :/
hosterstats.com/historicaldns.php?domain=Intestine.org
P.S. I took: radiated, globalrealty, eurorealty
Thanks, Mark.
In my opinion, health related domains are ~always a buy. However, if I had to pick between intestines.org or intestine.org, I’d pick the former (“s”). Another one I came across awhile back was adipose.org…still available to register.
I will say this, the .info appears to be a great buy for health related domains, as you’ll see riddled on Flippa auctions. For only $2.99, you ~can’t go wrong.
What I love about lists like these, and why I make them… I get to evaluate every domain that I could potentially be interested in. It’s amazing how many I’ve come across that I immediately want, and then don’t want when I see it compared to the rest.
