Mark, I fully agree on your rationale and methodology with gTLDs. The smart approach is low annual cost, and if the initial cost is increased to the registry premium, choose the best keyword+gTLD combo you can buy for the money.

    • I agree, and would add that the keyword+gtld combination should be the main consideration regardless of how popular an extension is perceived by registration numbers. In my opinion, what these tend to show is how generic the gtld word is, so I think quality is a better measure than quantity.

Automotive.repairs….good pick up imo. Dont be modest, you know what your doing 😉

I believe, for those who rely on organic search, the term is Auto Repair.

So, automotive repairs is not only too long to spell, it’s hard to spell, plus it’s anachronistic in terms of internet usage.

Automotive.Repairs has an added count against it, and that is low quality TLD, since it’s new and unknown.

Tallying all those negatives, it’s not a spectacular buy. However, it has a nice ring to it.

All good points, windshield.repair was my first choice, but this is what I got, and auto.repair, car.repair, truck.repair are all better than automotive.repair imo but still over 1000 domains are registered using the term “automotive repair”, I didn’t think it up myself…

Just to let the cat out of the bag—I was the one that made the offers to all your domains.

This is to make you feel good thinking your domains are worth alot of money. As time goes by, I make some more offers.

This is what we called the “fee good” psychology.
