In early 2000 I hand registered a couple of domains for a project I was working on, these were not expiring domains they were just available. I was really into mastering, mixing, effecting, sampling, and mashing up music, and also at making custom flash things with sound, for myself and others, so I got the domains TuneFX.com and ToonFX.com to use for that.
Things change and this became another project that has not yet come to full fruition, but I have kept these domains even though I dropped most of the domains I was hand regging at that time, because these were for my project and I know I will get back into it someday, and I still think these are cool domains to use for this.
Recently I got a few inquiries into the domain TuneFX.com, so I did a little search and I found this article, “Tune Group moves into forex arena: ADS Securities deal to lead to founding of Tune FX”, it goes on to say “Tune FX will complement the group’s existing financial operations, which include Tune Money and Tune Insurance”. I also found this unrelated site, apparently these people have been using the term TuneFX for a few years, I have had it for much longer, I had no idea I was such a future trender, lol.
These Tune Group folks look big, they have a lot going on, a few years back they bought Air Asia (now aka Tune Air), they also have Tune Hotels, Tune Talk, Tune Money, Tune Sport, and Tune Tones.
It looks like Tune Group has a few of their brands in the .com but not all of them. If they show interest in acquiring the domain I am open to discussing it with them, but I don’t feel as comfortable now discussing it with parties that have nothing to do with the term and probably are just reading about what these folks are doing and are trying to be enterprising? Anyway I’m not sure what I’m doing, if anything, I am thinking though…
Here are the domain picks dropping on June 2nd 2013:
AllFoodRecipes.com – Not so sure about the all but I have sold recipe domains, it’s not bad
AmateurPortal.com – When you need to find an amateur to get the job done, find one here
DivaToys.com – Sounds to me like a site that could sell female adult toys
FindTool.com – The Find Tool will find you anything you are looking for
HitLyrics.com – I write lyrics, no big hits yet but the fat lady hasn’t sang yet either
HotDiscountBags.com – A little long but discount bags are hot
NewCarsInfo.com – I like info suffix domains, not so sure here but new cars are popular
QueenOfIndia.com – There is a Miss Queen of India beauty contest
Reawakened.com – If I snore, I get reawakened by my wife multiple times
TeensSite.com – You must be 18 years of age or younger to enter this site, lol
TKCM.com – LLLL .com?

Hi, I found your blog post via the Namepros thread, via HybridDomainer article, Domaining Schism . . . Pleased to meet you! Thanx for sharing about your 2000 hand regs. I have one from 2002: GeoForums.com/net/org, but I dropped most of the domains registered since I started following the domaining community in 2010. TuneFX and ToonFX both cool, but I see what you mean about the term getting big over another meaning. It reminds me of GraphSearch, which was a search site for graphics when it was registered, but was Facebook’s big announcement this year.
Thanks for checking out my blog Louise, pleased to meet you also…
I liked your research part and again some good names.
Thanks for the list. I like TKCM.Com I think it has a nice ring to it.
That’s interesting on those “tune” names. “Tunes” really is a great word, I should pay more attention to it – !
FYI: 1n1 is hiking it’s .com fee to $14.99US per. That’s a rather substantial increase. Moving time!
